Level 3 (RQF) Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children...

This Level 3 (RQF) Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults - Equestrian Specific Supplement course has been accredited by the regulators of England and Wales (Ofqual and the Welsh Government) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

This qualification is suitable for learners working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions.

The qualification covers how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace as well as how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused. Children are those aged below 16 and young people are those aged between 16 and 18.

The Childrens Act 2004 places duties on a range of organisations to ensure they have regard to the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This includes the need for appropriate safeguarding training, as employers are responsible for ensuring staff are competent to carry out their responsibilities towards safeguarding of children and young people. This qualification would meet this requirement.

A fantastic First Aid Training Course, certainly the best I have attended over the years. Kay delivered the course with exactly the right amount of fun and seriousness, oh and brought very delicious cakes on the last day too!!!!! I am going to organise a one day First Aid course with Medi K for my liveries, it makes you realise how important it is and would recommend anyone involved with horses on any level to take a Training Course with Kay.
